PADI Divemaster Course

PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE – 2-6 weeks, Age 18+, up to 40 dives

The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level PADI certification. You will be qualified to guide certified divers, conduct PADI Scuba Reviews and assist PADI Instructors in some of their tasks. This qualification allows you to make money from scuba diving. Earn a living, doing what you love!

You will become a professional member of PADI, the world’s biggest dive educator, and you’ll be able to work in the dive industry in PADI dive centres and resorts.

You will gain solid training with real-life, hands-on experience. We believe this is the best grounding you can get if you’d like to take your scuba diving career to the next step.

What will I learn?

The goal of the course is to improve your level of diving so you feel confident and knowledgeable in both the theory and practical elements of recreational scuba diving. You’ll assist instructors teaching real courses and get hands on experience supervising and leading dives. You’ll learn mapping techniques and map an actual dive site, guide certified divers, test and hone your rescue skills, learn how to handle stressful situations underwater and learn how to teach some PADI programs.

Gain Hands-On Work Experience!

The Divemaster programme is ideal for people who would like to actually work in diving after they have completed their training.

Each Divemaster course we offer is tailor-made to suit your level of experience and we work with you to ensure that by the end of the dive course, you have a solid grounding in all the areas of knowledge development as well as some real work/ practical experience that you can add to your CV when applying for future jobs within the dive industry.

When can I start?

The best time of year to start a Divemaster Course with us is from October to February as our dive season runs from October to mid-May. This will give you enough time to complete both the practical and theoretical sections of the course.

What equipment do I need?

To start the Divemaster course, you don’t need any equipment. However, by the time you complete your Divemaster training, you should have a full set. In order to work as a Divemaster, most dive centres would expect you to have your own equipment.

We offer advice and great deals on scuba diving gear – please contact us for further information.

Who can apply?

If you’re aged 18+ and have a 20+ logged dives, have already completed the PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses (or equivalent), are in general good health and fitness, you should be eligible to become a fully certified Divemaster. You must also have an up-to-date Medic First Aid or Emergency First Responder qualification. If you need to complete more dives, or the Advanced, EFR or Rescue Diver courses, please take a look at the multi-course package price deals.

We are looking for people who will become part of the Narima Dive Team. We expect you to be involved in running the shop (just like our other staff) and hope that after you complete your training, you will continue to work as a professional Divemaster with us. We therefore limit the number of Divemaster Trainee positons we offer each year, to ensure we can devote enough time to training you well.
